Park Street in Kolkata is probably the best place for celebrating Christmas and New Year. There are many bars, cafes and restaurants offering food for special occasion. The street has old world charm and it is specially decorated for Christmas and New Year.
The main festivities starts from beginning of the Park Street at J L Nehru Road. You can come across several pubs on both side of the street. They usually do not accept table booking during Christmas so it is best to arrive early to get seats.
The Park, iconic 5 star hotel has several pubs and restaurants that offer special Christmas dinner. There are open air food stall operated by anglo Indian community that sells Goan and anglo Indian cuisine that is unique to Kolkata. Pre Christmas celebration and open air concerts are held in Elliot park located at the crossing of camac street.
